Hublot has just signed one of the most prestigious agreements in its history as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for the next two FIFA World Cup in 2010 and 2014.
This is the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup that a watchmaking brand becomes the Official FIFA Timekeeper having presence on the substitution board. To commemorate this substantial agreement, Hublot is now unveiling the official licensed watch of the FIFA World Cup.
The case, in 18kt rose gold, measures 45mm. The crystal is sapphire with inner AR-coating. The caseback features an engraving of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. It is water resistant to 50 meters.
The dial is satin finished 18kt gold with gold appliques and a relief applique of the FIFA World Cup Trophy at the 6 o'clock position. The hands are also solid gold.
Movement is the Swiss automatic caliber HUB1112 (base ETA) with 21 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.
The bridges are satin-finished, bevelled & polished, with black PVD titanium screws and a rotor done in tungsten carbide with black PVD treated dimpled surface. The main plate sandblasted and rhodium-plated.
