Breathtaking, elegant, precise and freed from the earth's gravitational pull... the new creations from Jaquet Droz accomplish an extraordinary watch making feat: to bring together the peak in technical prowess with an aesthetic that is constantly being recreated.
Jaquet Droz has also pushed back the technical limits, by adorning its second Tourbillon model with two additional complications: a retrograding date and an 88 hour power reserve indicator. This is a real achievement on a 47 mm diameter surface. It is by shaping the space, choosing opaline black as the backdrop, and positioning the displays to face each other, that Jaquet Droz has overcome this double challenge.
With its design reminiscent of Art Deco, and its delicate three-dimensional character, the Tourbillon Power Reserve, produced in a limited edition of 28, appears in the space of a single flutter of a wing to take dramatic flight, illuminated by the gold of the watch case and the sober elegance of a rolled-edge hand-crafted alligator leather strap.
