The 1001 designation is symbolic both for the 1001 limited run per color as well as each watch being water resistant to 1,001 meters. Unveiled last year, this time the Classico U-1001 comes in two separate colorways: Blue and Orange and it is slightly reduced in size with a diameter of 47mm. This watch pays tribute to Italo Fontana’s passion for diving offering a bold, clear, technical design reminiscent of high tech instruments.

The case, in stainless steel, measures 47mm. The crystal is sapphire and it has a distinguishing crown on left side, with a special protective device (Trade Marked) and helium escape valve, serial number engraved on a steel plate, set on the left hand side of the case. It is water resistant to 1,001 meters.

The dial of this model is made up of two superimposed dials: one treated with superluminova and coloured pigments added (orange or blue) and the other one cut, treated with composed opaque black pigments. Arabic numerals, superluminova luminous hands.

Movement is the Swiss automatic ETA caliber ETA Valjoux 7750 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 40 hours. It has been modified and personalized at U-Boat. MSRP is $5,100.
