Nuovo movimento by Ambre

[Airangel]

Ambre Group has unveiled its first automatic movement to be designed, produced and assembled in Morteau, in the Doubs department (the home of French clock and watch making). It took Jean-Paul Boillot, the group's manufacturing director, two years work to develop this automatic winding movement, named "Ambre". The firm was founded in 1975.

With the creation of this new movement, Ambre offers a quality automatic watch at an affordable price.
Right from its launch, this new 11 ½" movement is already available in three versions, each with date display. The first model has 3 central hands. The second adds a small second hand to the indication of hours and minutes. On the third version a power reserve indicator is added.
With an oscillating mass mounted on ball bearings turning in both directions to ensure rapid rewinding of the mainspring, this new movement has a 45 hour power reserve. It has 31 jewels and oscillates at 28,800 vph. Two of the jewels are located at the extremities of the barrel axis, thus efficiently reducing the friction generally observed on these elements in mechanical movements. The adjustment crown is used to make rapid corrections to the date and to action a "seconds stop" mechanism, which acts directly on the balance to stop the movement immediately.

Extremely reliable, the Ambre movement has successfully passed the so-called "Guillotine" test which, amongst other things, submits the mechanism to a series of shocks to its edge!

Future variants of this caliber will feature other complications such as: Chronograph, Moonphases, Perpetual Calendar, Skeleton, and a Tourbillon!

Yonger & Bresson – "Chenonceau" (Ref. YBH 8342): 2 hands dial, small second at 9h, 360° date disc with date opening at 6h, high-resistance, anti-reflection mineral crystal and back, resistant to 5 bars – Ambre 1016 Movement

ne più ne meno di un ETA come caratteristiche....anzi mi sembra anche peggio rifinito...finchèlo montano case come Y&B.....almeno se non ricordo male han mandato via i movimenti cinesi che montava Y&B...se non erro...

Cavolo però, per come stanno combinati alla Ambre (Y&B e Alviero Martini) non pensavo avessero in testa di buttare i cinesi, ultimamente ho visto solo televisori e patacconi molto sgradevoli, il mio carrè devo dire che fu uno dei più riusciti stilisticamente...se lo montano in un contenitore più aggraziato di quelli postati e se non si montano la testa col primo movimento che hanno messo insieme...potrei darci un'occhiata per pura curiosità...ricordo il loro toulbillon a 4-5 k, esosi kienzle lo monta a 2k e sempre la stessa ciofeca è
