Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix:
Zenith Manufacture wins top prize in the stellar « Best Complicated Watch » category
The prize for the stellar “Best Complicated Watch” category has been won by the Christophe Colomb Équation du Temps watch developed by the Manufacture Zenith. The jury of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix has thereby rewarded a three-fold technical achievement: liberation from gravity, high frequency, as well as visualisation of the duration of the Earth’s rotation which is not an immutable 24 hours, since the Earth is in fact from day to day either ahead or behind the time shown on a watch.
This new award represents the best tribute to the Zenith Manufacture embodying a heritage of 2’333 Chronometry Prizes, 300 patents and more than 600 movements’ variations.
This “Grande Complication” is the result of 5 years of technical development and research. The entire Manufacture, the craftsmen and engineers behind this Master Piece are extremely proud of this new distinction obtained by the Christophe Colomb Équation du Temps which will probably open new field in the domain of watchmaking and generate passion, curiosity and inventiveness.
