Limited Edition of 100 Pieces - An Exceptional Chronograph Celebrating a Legendary Driver
In 2014, Chopard became "Official Timing Partner" of Porsche Motorsport for the German racing team's grand comeback to endurance competition. That same year, in honor of this exclusive partnership, Chopard launched a Superfast chronograph inspired by the Porsche 919 Hybrid competing in the World Endurance Championship LMP1 category.
In 2015, Chopard is unveiling a new watch, the Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Jacky Ickx Edition, a limited edition dedicated to Jacky Ickx, a driver with an impressive track record and a longstanding ambassador of Chopard and Porsche. This model proudly bears the colors of the legendary champion and six-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Technical Specifications:
The case, in stainless steel, measures 45mm x 15.1mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal, and an engraved caseback with the inscriptions "Official Timing Partner Porsche Motorsport" and "Jacky Ickx Limited Edition". It is water resistant to 100 meters. The screw-locked crown has a black rubber-clad steering wheel motif and the steel bezel has a tachometric scale secured by eight PVD blackened steel screws.
Movement is the Swiss automatic in-house Chopard caliber 03.05M with 45 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 60 hours. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer chronograph. It features a flyback complication.
The dial is opaline silver-tone with matte blue inner bezel ring, white and silver-toned transfers. Metallic black hours/minutes hands and hour-markers, arrow-tipped red central seconds hand, red hours/minutes counter hands, and metallic black small seconds hand.
It comes on a black rubber strap with slick tire tread motif and a steel folding clasp.
