Collectors of horology can look forward to Antiquorum’s May auction of Important Collectors'Wristwatches, Pocket Watches, & Clocks. Over 300 hundred fine timepieces will be offered for sale at the prestigious Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva on May 9th and 10th.
Comprising both modern and vintage timepieces, with a considerable amount offered at no reserve, this auction promises to be a fantastic opportunity for collectors worldwide to add to their timepiece collections. Prior to the auction, these magnificent timepieces can be seen at previews in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Geneva.
The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe & Co, Geneve Ref. 1436, stainless steel split-seconds chronograph. It is one of four known examples of which three survived and one of only two first generation watches known. This extraordinary timepiece was produced in 1945 and sold on May 11, 1949. It is an extremely fine and exceptionally rare wristwatch and is one of four known examples made in stainless steel with square button split-seconds chronograph, 30-minute register and tachometer. It is the first time ever that this watch will be offered at auction.
Estimate: 600,000 - 800,000 Swiss Francs (approx. $517,000 to $690,000).

It is an important, extremely fine and unique watch with luminous dial, produced in 1928 and sold on September 23rd, 1938. This 18kt yellow gold wristwatch also features a single-button split-seconds chronograph, vertical 30-minute register, constant seconds and mobile lugs.
Estimate: 800,000 - 1,200,000 Swiss Francs (approx. $690,000 to $1,035,000).
